We had a discussion where we had to describe what digital marketing means for us in one single word. Words that came up were data, personalization, and conversion to name a few.
So what makes digital marketing different? The main differentiator
for me, would be data. With the sheer prominence of social media and mobile apps in our lives, digital marketers have access to demographic, psychographic, and even behavioral data to access a very targeted audience, engage them to create buzz and in turn, create advocacy or generate conversion.
